Glen Cove pays almost $5 million a year for health and dental insurance.

 

The cost to the taxpayer for health and dental insurance for each City Council member who accepts it is about $18,000 annually, or nearly twice their annual compensation of $10,000.

 

Any Council member who doesn't elect to be part of the City's taxpayer-funded health coverage is entitled to a cash stipend.
